Meet the artist

Hi, I’m Leah!

I am an artist and illustrator living in the beautifully four-seasoned province of Ontario in Canada with my husband, two children, and fur-baby- Hockley. Art has always been a passion of mine, and a means of creative escape and relaxation. However it did not become my profession until 2015, after I had suffered a traumatic brain injury from a car accident.

What started out as therapy for myself grew into a flourishing business. Creating art through various mediums, my art has been showcased on various home television shows, news, commercials, fine shops across North America, and more.

I grew up in Canada, but spent my twenties living in Holland. I quickly learned the language, and a year later, I attended school and received my degree in Education to be an English teacher. Holland is also where I met my husband (Dennis). After almost a decade of living there, we moved to Canada, and we have been here ever since.

When I am not creating, you can find me outside enjoying the sunshine, partially shaded (wearing sunscreen, hello 40+!), with a glass of wine or Perrier in my hand, listening to an eclectic array of music, or Billy Joel (have had a personal crush on him since I was 13. The love story continues). I love to travel, but my happiest days are days spent with my family or friends, simply talking, enjoying food together, and one another’s company.

I hope to inspire you to find beauty in the ordinary of daily living along with me.
